Privacy notice

This notice explains what personal data we collect when you take part in Arco, what we use it for, and how you can decide about it. It is written in accordance with Mexico's Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties and, for visitors from the European Union, the General Data Protection Regulation.

Who is responsible

The party responsible for processing your data is Pablo López, who runs the Arco Skating project as an individual, with an address for notices in Querétaro, Querétaro, México. You can write to arcoskating@gmail.com for anything related to your data.

What data we collect

When you register for an event or workshop through the form linked from this site (hosted on Google Forms): name, email address and city. We don't ask for sensitive data.

At in-person events we take photographs and video. Your image and voice may appear in that material.

When you browse the site: aggregated, anonymous technical data (page viewed, country, device type) collected by Vercel Web Analytics without cookies or persistent identifiers.

What we use it for

Primary purposes, necessary for what you ask of us: managing your registration, confirming your spot, and sending you information about the event you signed up for.

Secondary purposes, which require your consent: letting you know about upcoming events, workshops and Arco premieres, and publishing photographs or video from the event on this site and on our social media. If you don't want us to use your data for these purposes, write to arcoskating@gmail.com with the subject "Unsubscribe" or "Photo removal"; declining doesn't affect your participation in the event.

Who we share your data with

We don't sell or transfer your data. It's processed on our behalf, as data processors, by Google (registration forms) and the email provider we use to send communications. Published photographs remain visible to any visitor to the site and our social media.

Cookies and similar technologies

This site works without tracking cookies. We use a functional cookie (NEXT_LOCALE) that remembers the language you chose, and we store your light/dark theme preference in your browser. Vercel's analytics use no cookies and don't identify you.

YouTube videos are shown as an image and only load the YouTube player (on its no-tracking-cookie domain) when you press play. Instagram posts load only when you press the corresponding button; doing so may let Meta set its own cookies under its policy. That's why we don't show a consent banner: nothing beyond what's strictly necessary activates without your action.

Your rights

You can access your data, correct it, delete it or object to its use (ARCO rights — access, rectification, cancellation and objection), as well as withdraw your consent and limit the use or disclosure of your data. Send your request to arcoskating@gmail.com stating your name, the data or photo it concerns, and what you'd like us to do. We respond within a maximum of twenty business days.

If you're not satisfied with our response, you can turn to Mexico's data protection authority (Secretaría Anticorrupción y Buen Gobierno) or, if you live in the European Union, your country's supervisory authority.

Retention

We keep registration data for as long as you remain interested in our events, and for a maximum of twenty-four months after the last event you registered for, unless you ask to opt out sooner. Published photographs are removed on request.

Minors

Registrations are intended for adults. If a minor takes part in an event, their parent or guardian must handle the registration and consent for photographs.

Changes to this notice

We'll publish any changes on this same page along with the update date. This notice is available in several languages; in case of discrepancy, the Spanish version prevails.
