Arco Cinema #2

ARCO Cinema #2 is built around the local premiere of México Wizard Style — a short film made by Pablo López for re:Turn Berlin 2026, where it was first shown to an international audience. The showcase brings the piece back to Mexico, accompanied by the selection it shared the screen with at that gathering.

México Wizard Style offers a local take on the style from Mexican skating: how it is learned, how it is lived, and how it dialogues with a global scene built from other contexts. After Berlin, it returns home to be watched, discussed, and shared within its own community.

The accompanying selection includes works from Mexico, Canada, the United States, the Czech Republic, Greece, France, Spain, and Germany — originally presented at re:Turn Berlin 2026, one of the most important international gatherings dedicated to Wizard Skating. Across approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes, it brings to the public materials that normally circulate only within specialized festivals.

Beyond skating, the featured works explore themes such as creativity, identity, learning, community, and the relationship between people and the spaces they inhabit. Each short film offers a different perspective on how movement can become a tool for artistic expression and human connection.

The showcase proposes a dialogue between communities around the world — letting the Mexican piece share the screen with recent international works, and offering the audience a unique perspective on how sport, culture, and audiovisual creation can converge into a single experience.
